One of the largest manufacturers of bed, bath, table and decorative fabrics in Brazil, Karsten is a reference company in its sector with more than 140 years of history, superior quality, beauty, comfort and innovation. The company based in Blumenau, Santa Catarina, employs more than two thousand and eight hundred people and owns the Karsten and Trussardi brands. Its products are available in more than 7 thousand points of sale in the country, found on various channels. Furthermore, it is one of the country's largest exporters of textile articles, present in approximately 23 countries. With a focus on innovation, it has manufacturing, administrative facilities and sophisticated machinery, with productivity and quality equivalent to the best global standards.
In the current business scenario in the digital era, protecting brands against violations and fraud has become a growing challenge for Brazil's biggest brands. With the rise of e-commerce and the popularization of technology, it has become easier for malicious actors to copy and distribute counterfeit advertisements and websites using trademarks without authorization. These practices not only harm brands’ reputations and bottom lines, they also put consumers at risk. Furthermore, the phenomenon of brand bidding, where competitors and unauthorized partners use trademarked terms to divert traffic and sales, has further complicated the picture. Another critical challenge was the regulation of partners to ensure that everyone complies with established brand usage policies, preventing the recurrence of violations. The challenge faced by Karsten & Trussardi was to develop and implement effective strategies to identify, combat and prevent trademark infringement and fraud, ensuring the integrity of its brands and preserving consumer trust and security.
To address these challenges, Branddi implemented constant monitoring of online activities related to the Karsten and Trussardi brands. Using advanced technology and a team capable of combating fraud and brand bidding, Branddi was able to quickly identify any misuse of brands. The proactive and personalized approach adopted involved identifying and reporting brand-related fraud, with experts working directly on the platforms to remove fraudulent content. This rapid communication between teams and efficient action ensured robust protection against fraud. The results were impressive: 31 fake websites were eliminated in less than 14 hours, more than 65 fake ads and profiles removed, and all incidents identified and reported by Branddi were successfully eliminated.
