MCD is a recognized brand in the fashion sector, with a strong presence in the urban lifestyle and influence on surf and streetwear culture. Its portfolio stands out for pieces with authentic design and high durability, gaining a loyal consumer base. With national distribution and multichannel operations, the company maintains a solid positioning as a reference in the segment and a constant concern with the protection of its brand and identity.
In recent years, MCD has faced an escalation in trademark infringements on digital channels due to its success as a brand. Several counterfeit profiles and irregular sellers began to use visual identity, brand name and graphic elements without authorization, damaging both reputation and commercial results. These counterfeiters operated especially on social networks and marketplaces, offering non-original products, often with lower prices and low quality, which confused consumers and undermined the perception of value built by the brand over time.
In addition to the impact on image, revenue losses could occur, with consumers being redirected to illegal sellers. The presence of this content also hindered official campaigns, compromised the shopping experience and generated distrust in legitimate channels. The brand needed a scalable and effective solution to take down these posts, continually monitor critical channels, and regain control of the narrative and revenue.
Branddi began working with MCD with a strategic and diagnostic analysis of all points of violation. From the mapping of profiles, publications and occurrences, specific routines were created for each type of channel — social networks, marketplaces and advertising platforms — prioritizing quick actions with a high removal rate.
On Instagram, the action was decisive: in a few months, 179 unique offending profiles and more than 2,700 irregular publications were identified. The response was immediate — 2,697 posts were eliminated and 157 fake profiles removed completely, with a success rate of more than 99% of content being removed after reporting.
In the marketplaces, work continued with the same assertiveness. In one of the main online sales channels, 445 incidents were captured, of which more than 93% were removed after reporting. In another high penetration channel, the success rate reached 100%, with 985 products excluded and no pending cases. All processes were carried out with complete traceability, respecting the platforms' policies and keeping the brand image preserved.
With more than 4,000 reports made and 4,014 content removed in a short period, the coordinated action not only gave the brand back control over its digital presence, but also avoided an estimated turnover of more than R$1.73 million in improper sales of irregular products. The result was a cleaner, safer operation aligned with MCD's official experience, both in e-commerce and on social media.
